A sample bible prayer to destroy satan

You can pray the following out loud, adapting it to your situation. Keep your focus on God and his word.

“Father in heaven, I come to you through Jesus Christ my Lord. I praise you that Jesus has conquered sin and death, and has disarmed the powers of darkness (Colossians 2:15). Thank you that the one who is in me is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

I submit myself to you, O God, and I resist the devil (James 4:7). I put on your armour: the belt of truth around my waist; the breastplate of righteousness; the readiness of the gospel of peace on my feet; the shield of faith to extinguish every flaming arrow of the evil one; the helmet of salvation; and the sword of the Spirit, which is your word (Ephesians 6:10–18). Teach me to pray in the Spirit with perseverance.

In Jesus’ name, I renounce every lie, accusation and temptation aimed at me and my household. I break agreement with fear, condemnation, confusion and division. I forgive those who have harmed me, and I release bitterness. I turn from every sin and close every door that gives the enemy a foothold. Lord, shine your light into every dark place and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

By the authority of Jesus Christ, I command every scheme of the enemy against me to fail. Let your truth expose deception; let your peace guard my heart and mind; let your joy be my strength. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, renew my mind by your word, and lead me on paths of righteousness for your name’s sake.

Protect my family, my church and my work. Empower us to stand firm in faith, to love what is good, and to overcome evil with good. May the God of peace soon crush Satan under our feet (Romans 16:20). All glory be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.”
